Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take insurance?

I do not accept insurance at this time. I am considered an out of network provider, and I am able to provide you with a monthly Superbill which is a receipt for the payments you have made for therapy sessions. You may be able to submit this document to your insurance company for partial reimbursement of therapy services. Please contact your insurance company directly for information regarding your eligibility and reimbursement rates. Please be aware that a mental health diagnosis is required to be provided to your insurance company for reimbursement if you utilize this option. Per Colorado state regulation, I cannot provide services to Medicaid-insured clients even if they wish to self pay.

Are you a Lyra provider?

I am a provider in the Lyra provider network. Lyra is an employer-sponsored mental health benefit.

Do you offer a free consultation?

Yes! I offer a free 15-minute phone or Zoom consultation. This gives you time to ask me any questions you have, and also provides an opportunity for me to gather some general information about your treatment goals to make sure we are a good fit.

Do you offer teletherapy?

Yes! I meet with clients using HIPAA-compliant Zoom video conferencing. Studies of video-based teletherapy show that teletherapy is as effective as in-person therapy in treating many mental health concerns. Teletherapy  allows therapists to reach more people by removing barriers for those who are geographically isolated, lack access to child care or transportation, or fear the stigma of being seen in a mental health clinic. Teletherapy also reduces time away from school or work.

Notice Of Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your care will cost.

Note: A Good Faith Estimate is for your awareness only. It does NOT involve you needing to make any type of commitment to the length or frequency of therapy sessions.

Under the No Surprises Act, health care providers need to give patients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
  • The Good Faith Estimate must be provided in writing within certain time frames before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit http://www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (316) 462-5000.
